Porcellio haasi is native to the dry, mountainous areas of northwestern Spain, most likely Zaragoza area in the province of Aragón. Porcellio haasi ‘High Yellow’ is a line selectively isolated for their vibrant yellow color.

Size: Porcellio haasi ‘High Yellow’ isopods have a quite long body and the adults can reach a length of 20 mm. Including the uropods they may reach an impressive length of 32 mm!
Activity: daytime; early morning; nighttime.
Terrarium: keep only ⅕  moist with moss, pieces of rotting white wood and decaying leaves. Porcellio haasi ‘High Yellow’ isopods require a much drier setup, good air flow and adequate ventilation.
Temperature: 18 – 28°C
Humidity: 45 – 55%; they can’t thrive in high humidity.
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, decaying leaves. Rotting white wood should be plenty, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. And 3x times a week provide a source of protein.
