Porcellionides pruinosus ‘Powder Orange’ is one of the easiest isopods to keep and breed and have a beautiful orange colour – they are the best invertebrate pet for kids. The “powdery” appearance is common to all Porcellionides pruinosus isopods. Since they are exceptionally prolific isopods, a heavy populated colony can also serve as feeders to other invertebrates (tarantulas), amphibians and reptiles that feed on insects and small invertebrates. They are far more superior than crickets, since they lack thorny legs. And also, since there is always a source of calcium they are already gut-loaded in that respect.
